Happy Monday y’all! It being the day before pay day for a lot of people, this week’s Mix and Match has an affordable theme running throughout and features my favourite ways to brighten up my day or treat myself when on a budget. Enjoy!
It’s a sure sign that ladies love their lipstick that when the recession hit, sales of the stuff continuously soared. I for one am living proof of this phenomenon – when those Topshop boots or suede jacket seem so very out of reach, I, without fail, hit the lipstick counters hard. Further proof, in the fact I now own about fifty lip products – sticks, pencils, lacquers, glosses, the works! I’m always looking to add to my collection, and who can blame me? Nothing beats the glamourising power of a strong red shade, the fun factor of a fuchsia pink stain, a sultry, sexy nude lip or the fun of collecting every shade in between.
I’ve been buying makeup like a woman on a mission lately and next up for review is much hyped new release, Maybelline Lash Sensational Lash Multiplying Mascara. Read on if you’re a mascara fiend like myself or just in need of a new lease of life for you lashes!
Hey y’all, happy Monday! I for one am happy to see the start of a new week – I was stuck at home last week with the flu and now I’m so busy and ready to get productive, kick ass, take names, etc etc! So to kick off, here’s my first blog post of the week, my usual mix and match of favourites in beauty, home and fashion! Enjoy!
So my mind feels ready to take the world on but my skin? Not so much, Eating comfort foods, missing out in exercise and fresh air whilst ill means my complexion is currently dfull as dish water and although I’m back on track to fitting these things into a busy schedule, I need a little beauty intervention – and I think I’ve found just the ticket in Seventeen’s Skin Wow Three Way Highlighter.
Monday again, can you believe it? Time to share some of my favourites in fashion, beauty and food for the week…
Is there anything that evokes the feeling of summer more than turquoise jewellery and white cheesecloth? Not in my book anyway! I’ve always had a soft spot for the rustic, vintage charm and vibrant colour of turquoise and this choker and cuff from Penneys have retro style, not to mention festival season fashion, written all over them! For now, I’ll be styling them to suit the decidedly more grey weather we are having by throwing ’em on with all black and maybe even a bit o’ fringing for a nod to the seventies trends that is currently dropping onto our fashion radars in a big way. Trust me, turquoise, fringing, cheesecloth, suede, flares – we will all be wearing some form or another by July… And I ain’t complaining! If I can nonchalantly channel my gal Stevie Nicks in any way, then it’s all good – wish me luck with that one, yeah?
