Hello there! I hope you are all having a lovely week and now have that incomparable Friday feeling lingering in your head! Just a quick post today – I need your help! I’ve entered the Beaut.ie Spring Street Style competition and need your votes to potentially win a trip to New York! The look I chose features my favourite purchase so far this Spring/Summer 2015 season, my Miss Selfridge denim button through skirt, as well as my old reliable khaki parka from Primark. I recently featured the above look on The Mix and Match (read the full post here) and got a great response, so decided to take the plunge, put myself out on a limb and enter the competition!
So, if you dig my street style look, I would be so grateful if you could pop on over to the competition page and hit that little pink heart! It take two seconds and you can vote once a day until next Wednesday, 15th April. Click here to view my entry and vote!
On that note, I just have to mention that I would NEVER have even dreamed of entering a competition like this if it weren’t for the confidence and contentment that blogging has brought me, and a huge part of that is all of the support from you, my lovely readers! It really means an awful lot to me, so thanks for everything guys! 🙂
Until next time! xx
Monday Tuesday everyone! Slightly late with this week’s favourites but what with the Easter weekend and the gloriously sunny bank holiday Monday, this is technically the first day of the week, isn’t it? Excuses aside, I hope everyone had a lovely, relaxing and chocolate filled weekend – I know I certainly stuffed myself to bursting with eggs (a fact I was majorly paying for at boot camp this evening…#shweatin)
This week, my favourites include an affordable skincare update, a healthy midweek dinner recipe and even a snazzy outfit change for my phone! I hope you enjoy!
Micellar waters are, without doubt, thee trendiest way to clean your face at the moment. Brought into the spotlight by the infamously unattainable Bioderma version and used by every make-up artist and beauty buff worth their salt, practically all of the high-street brands hav now released their own version. This is definitely good news for those of us who don’t manage regular visits to Paris for a Bioderma fix, and even better, there are varieties to suit every budget.
Happy Monday y’all! It being the day before pay day for a lot of people, this week’s Mix and Match has an affordable theme running throughout and features my favourite ways to brighten up my day or treat myself when on a budget. Enjoy!
It’s a sure sign that ladies love their lipstick that when the recession hit, sales of the stuff continuously soared. I for one am living proof of this phenomenon – when those Topshop boots or suede jacket seem so very out of reach, I, without fail, hit the lipstick counters hard. Further proof, in the fact I now own about fifty lip products – sticks, pencils, lacquers, glosses, the works! I’m always looking to add to my collection, and who can blame me? Nothing beats the glamourising power of a strong red shade, the fun factor of a fuchsia pink stain, a sultry, sexy nude lip or the fun of collecting every shade in between.
This season’s fondness for seventies favourite, the button through skirt and the utility staple, the khaki parka are the perfect foil for a wardrobe transitioning from Winter to Summer…
Hey guys! Apologies for my absence over the last while – a week’s holidays followed by a nasty ol’ vomiting bug meant spending hours at the laptop were the last things on my mind over the last two weeks! But I’m back and ready for action with this slightly more lifestyle orientated post. I’m sharing my latest favourites including a make-up bag beauty staple, a book recommendation and a little bit about my holidays to Ireland (exotic, I know!). Enjoy!
The looooong stretch to payday is in full swing now but as Murphy’s law would have it, all of my make-up essentials ran out at once (why does this ALWAYS happen – just me?). So off I toddled to Boots to pick up my beauty staples, figuring it was my chance to try some new products while I was at it. And if course, I dived head first into the Seventeen stand, and came away with this Miracle Matte Pressed Powder for just over a fiver. Boots own brand, Seventeen, is always a winner when you’re on a budget with really affordable prices throughout the range and products that never scrimp on quality.
